How to Shrink your Plastic Footprint

I was reading a recent issue of Time magazine and found an interesting article called “The Truth About Plastic.”

While I understand the problem we have with the waste we create by throwing all this plastic in landfills, I was not as aware of the dangers of plastic to our health. If you want to know about how plastics can pass into the human body, you’ll want to read this article.

One of the disturbing facts is that in America we produced 28 million tons of plastic waste in 2005 and only 1 million of that was recycled. The rest went to landfills.

Reduce your plastic imprint by signing up for Curbside Recycling. If you live in Thomaston, contact GreenSun Recycling for pick up.
